The guideline covers the aspect of “ecological quality”, “economic quality”, “social and cultural quality”, “technical quality”, “process quality” and “site quality”. Thereby it provides assessment methods and scales for the assessment of sustainable building quality and is the basis for the German Assessment Systems for Sustainable Buildings (the BNB-and DGNB-System).

More than 30% of the total energy consumption in China is consumed by buildings. With the increase comfort requirements and the use of mechanical conditioning the energy demand is further increasing. Besides the heat isolation of the building envelope, airtightness of the structures and joints is crucial for energy-efficient operation. The Building Airtightness Guidelines published by the German Airtightness Association FLIB (Fachverband Luftdichtheit im Bauwesen e. V.) and provided by the GIZ in China provides in-depth knowledge about how the achieve, measure and maintain building airtightness for energy-efficient buildings.

The Green Cooling Initiative (GCI) recognises that exchange between technology suppliers and users, as well as between the industry, public institutions and civil society is important for the promotion of green cooling technologies.
