The 18th China International Exposition of Housing Industry & Products (CIEHI), co-organized by Center of Science and Technology and Industrialization Development affiliated to Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, China Real Estate Industry Association and China Architectural Culture Center, was successfully held at the China International Exhibition Center (New Hall) in Beijing from November 7th to 9th, 2019.
With the theme of “Green Development of Urban and Rural Construction”, this year’s CIEHI has fully demonstrate the achievements of housing and urban-rural construction during the last 70 years since the founding of China, as well as the new technologies and domestic as well as international products comprehensively publicize the green development concepts and practical achievements, and promote the construction industrial transformation and upgrading. This conference also fully displayed the cooperation and results between China and various international partners, like Germany, in the building industry.
“Sino – German Alliance – Technology Transfer and Qualification in Construction (SG TQC)”, together with “Jiangsu Low Carbon Development Program”, “Sino-German Urbanization Partnership”, and “Europe-China Eco-Cities Link Project” under Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH participated in this event. The exquisite exhibition booth showcase the implementation and achievements of the four participants. SG TQC demonstrated the up-to-date progress of the alliance which aims to realize the building energy efficient technology transfer and boost the technology implementation capabilities, introduce the core contents, focused education direction, future development orientation, and other key topics.
In the morning of 7th, Mr. Li Zhe, the inspector from Finance & Accounting and Foreign Affairs Department of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, accompanied by the Deputy Director Peng Mengyue from the International Cooperation Division of Science & Technology and Industrialization Development Center, visited the booth of GIZ and learned about the implementation and outputs of each project. They fully affirmed the cooperation between GIZ and Chinese partners in the construction field, and gave us the valuable comments and suggestions.
In the afternoon of the same day, GIZ successfully hosted a Sino-German partnership gathering on the stand. More than 40 professionals from a number of cooperative organizations, international organizations and enterprises such as the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Science & Technology and Industrialization Development Center, China Academy of Building Research, Beijing Uni.-Construction Group, Deutsche Energie-Agentur joined the activity. Everyone has actively exchanged ideas on the topics like the organization management of international cooperation projects, Plus Energy Building, low-carbon urban cities, construction labors’ training and foreign advanced technology application in Chinese market.
In the morning of the 8th, Mr. Li Rusheng, Chief Engineer (Vice Minister Level) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, accompanied by the Deputy Director General Mr. Guo Liqiao from Department of Standards and Norms and the Chief Engineer Mr. Gao Lixin of the Center of Science and Technology and Industrialization Development, visited the booth of GIZ and asked our colleague Mr. Liu Tong (Project Director of SG TQC) about the projects managed by GIZ and their execution, and carefully understood the specific implementation content of SG TQC.
The activities of SG TQC project at this Expo was successfully completed on November 9th. The event received nearly 200 exhibitors, expanded the influence of the project output, and contacted new potential partners, which produced good publicity results.
